At Porterhouse, we’ve worked really hard over the past 18 months to integrate the company values into everything we do. These values – which emphasise pride, passion, ambition, family and humour in our work and daily lives – are reflected in our approach to the recruitment, training and well-being of our in-house teams of medical writers, account managers, event planners, designers and programmers.
As our talented people are our greatest asset, we wanted to be able to ‘share the love’ internally by recognising and saying ‘thank you’ to those colleagues that really live our core values. So, for 2017 we have introduced our own LOVE (Living Our Values Every Day) Awards, and on each floor we have a stack of specially designed thank you cards. The idea is to give something tangible to a colleague who has demonstrated the company values, been helpful, or made a great suggestion, so that they know that their contributions are valued.
In the same manner, we are also giving line managers the opportunity to give ‘on the spot’ Amazon voucher rewards to team members who they feel have demonstrated our values and deserve an award.
We believe that such gestures – which are small but heartfelt – show that we really care about our people and are determined to enhance the experience of being part of the Porterhouse family.
