The Behaviour Promoter Score is an evidence-based tool designed to measure the impact of educational interventions and/or communication programmes on the subsequent behaviour of participants.

The Porterhouse Behaviour Promoter Score because (in the words of Peter Drucker, the Father of Modern Management Theory) if you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it!

The Porterhouse Insights team has developed a behaviour change metric: the Porterhouse Behaviour Promoter Score (BPS).

The BPS is an evidence‑based tool designed to measure the impact of educational interventions and/or communication programmes on the subsequent behaviour of participants.

How it works

Data from participants are captured in an accessible, yet granular format, and the outputs highlight any changes in the key behaviour domains of:

Capability (the participant’s psychological and physical ability to change)
Opportunity (whether the participant’s social and physical environment is conducive to change)
Motivation (the participant’s immediate and continued desire to change)

These focused measurements provide powerful insights into the impact of programmes and the areas where further modifications are required to achieve actual change.

Useful applications

Advanced medical training programmes
MSL training programmes
Preceptorships
Symposia
Congresses
Academies

Porterhouse BPS outputs can be used to inform strategic communication plans, validate strategic thinking and facilitate course corrections.
