Porterhouse Medical Group is delighted to introduce our most recent addition to our global healthcare communications agency group, Louise Smith.
Louise has joined our growing Scientific Services team as an Associate Medical Writer, based in the Nottingham office.
Louise has a passion for life science and is highly qualified for her new role with a BSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Bangor, an MSc in Oncology from the University of Nottingham, and recently, she completed her PhD from the Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre from the University of Nottingham. Louise says that the highlights of her recent qualification were writing her thesis, writing abstracts and posters for conferences and literature reviews. During her PhD, Louise also completed a placement working as a Medical Writer which she thoroughly enjoyed and led her to her new career at Porterhouse Medical.
In her spare time, Louise like to read and enjoys playing games, as well as arts and crafts including cross stitch, making mosaics, painting and needle felting.
Alice Wright, Account Director, who heads up the Nottingham office, commented, “I am thrilled to see the Nottingham office continue to grow and I look forward to seeing Louise’s career flourish at Porterhouse. We are delighted to have her on the team!”
Welcome to the Porterhouse family, Louise! We look forward to working with you and hope you enjoy being part of our growing band of merry men and women in Nottingham! 😊
