The Porterhouse Social Exercise Group is back up and ‘running’ again

With more of the Porterhouse family returning to work in the office, we are delighted to announce that the Porterhouse Social Exercise Group is back.

This group is one of our fun initiatives to support the mental and physical health of our busy teams, providing a friendly space for people of all abilities to get together after work and keep active. We are currently running a session once a week on a Thursday evening in Reading, and various activities are planned (including circuit training, running and the occasional swim or climb) for the upcoming weeks. (The photo above features a few enthusiastic members of the group at a climbing wall)

A big thanks to Porterhouse’s very own answer to Mr Motivator, Joe Bradstock, for organising the group, reminding us of the importance of a healthy exercise regime to maintain good physical and mental health and giving us the opportunity to stay active and social.

Joe, Medical Writer and Time to Change Champion at Porterhouse Medical, is also the author of the ‘Working from home: The importance of keeping active’ article, which provides some great tips on staying active and healthy while working from home.
