Porterhouse Medical Group is delighted to announce the promotion of Emma Handley to Principal Medical Writer.
Emma is a long-standing member of our global scientific services team, having joined Porterhouse in 2006 with a BSc in biochemistry from the University of Nottingham. She began her career at Porterhouse as a medical writer; since then, she has had many different roles, including client lead, training manager, senior reviewer and editor. Emma’s excellent medical writing skills and extensive experience make her a great asset to the scientific services team. She has consistently shown her ability to build effective relationships with clients over the years, most recently as the lead writer dedicated to a global account. Emma is a great problem solver and lives our core company values of teamwork and family, as she is well known for being generous with her support and carefully considered advice.
Outside of her client work, Emma has embraced her role as ‘curator’ of the Porterhouse Academy (our online training course that helps new starters to develop and learn new skills) and ensures that our new recruits are fully up to speed with all that this training program has to offer. She is also eagerly working on the future development of the platform so that our teams continue to have access to the latest training materials.
