Porterhouse Medical Group is delighted to welcome a new starter in our Nottingham office. Victoria Hill joins us as a PhD placement intern and will be completing a 12-week professional internship in our global scientific services team.
Vicky has an MSc in Biology from the University of Nottingham, where she is currently studying for her PhD in the School of Nutrition. The University of Nottingham offers a four-year doctoral training programme supported by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, which offers PhD students the opportunity to carry out an internship at a company of their choice.
Vicky’s placement with Porterhouse will allow her to develop scientific expertise and skills in a new area, broaden her experience and help her to explore potential career options within our growing healthcare communications agency group. Vicky will begin her placement within our ophthalmology team where she will gain experience supporting our medical writers, learning best practice for sharing innovations in healthcare through compelling and compliant communications. She will also gain an insight into the processes and operations of our award-winning agency.
