The Porterhouse publications team enjoyed working at the 2024 European Meeting of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals, this week – entitled ‘Innovation: The New Tradition’.

Based in London, UK. the two-day event brought together professionals from the medical publications and communications field, creating a vibrant and collaborative atmosphere. The conference featured a diverse array of informative sessions and workshops, covering the latest trends and innovations in scientific communication. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with thought leaders and experts, gaining valuable insights into best practices for enhancing the quality and impact of medical publications. The event fostered networking and knowledge-sharing, creating a sense of community among attendees.

Participation from Porterhouse’s Emma Conran, Belinda Dean and Tony Ferrar included hosting a roundtable which focused on ‘Tackling author challenges in the changing world of publications.

Belinda presented as part of session called Making an Impact: What Does Success Look Like in Publications?, which explored success in publications and the various dimensions that contribute to planning a impactful publication strategy.

Following a busy two days was of insightful discussions and interactive sessions, which included AI and publication extenders, our publications team left feeling inspired and equipped with new ideas to excel in their roles.
