With Dry January out of the way and with the aim of keeping us all connected, last Friday saw a re-vamp of Porterhouse’s traditional Beer O’Clock by our social and charity committees and Time to Change Champions.
To lift ‘the spirits’ of our teams, a cocktail-making social was organised. All participants had a cocktail-making kit of their choice delivered to their home and were able to join the Beer O’Clock video call where everyone channelled their inner cocktail mixologist before enjoying their boozy creations together! (Mocktail options were also available.)
Our charity committee also gave the event a Valentine’s Day twist by organising a raffle to raise money for our 2021 charity partner YoungMinds, which does exceptional work looking after the mental health of children and young people – a great cause, particularly given the isolation and continued social distancing measures of the past 11 months. In addition, our creative team designed a Valentine’s Day e-card that employees could share with Porterhouse family and friends for a small donation to the charity.
A big thank you to all involved for organising this fun event and helping us live one of our values of ‘humour and happiness it our working lives’, and importantly, helping us to stay connected. Cheers! 😊
