Porterhouse Medical Group is delighted that 2020 has started with a host of new starters across several departments as we continue to expand our globally acclaimed agency group with new clients across multiple therapy areas.
First, we are thrilled to welcome Jack Gibbons, who has joined our editorial team with a BSc (Hons) in anatomy and human biology and an MRes in biomedical sciences and translational medicine from the University of Liverpool. During his studies, Jack undertook extensive human cadaveric dissection and gained molecular and cellular physiology laboratory experience, utilising 2D and 3D ‘pseudo-epidermis’ cellular models. These experiences have allowed him to develop a keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure, which will serve him well in his role as an Associate Editor.
Second, we are delighted to welcome Sarah Gelson as a Medical Writer and Senior Copy Writer in our scientific services team. Sarah has a BSc in biological sciences from the University of Birmingham and an MRes in biosciences from Cardiff University. After finishing her studies, she worked in publishing prior to working in medical information for a pharmaceutical company. From there, she moved on to healthcare advertising, for which she created content for promotional materials within the pharma industry. Sarah is looking forward to applying her pharmaceutical and brand communications experience to her medical writing.
Last but not least, we are pleased to welcome Jacqueline Darkwa to our client services team. Jacqueline has a BSc (Hons) in biomedical science and an MSc in science communication from Imperial College London. She was co-editor-in-chief of the magazine ‘I, Science’ and has published articles tackling the intersection of science and health with gender, race and sexuality. Jaqueline’s scientific and communications skills, plus her operations experience, should be great assets in her new role as an Account Executive.
