Our Sustainability Initiatives
Reducing our environmental footprint requires a multifaceted approach. Here are some of the key initiatives we are implementing:
- Waste Reduction: We have adopted comprehensive waste management practices to minimise waste generation and are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our business waste as much as possible by applying the waste hierarchy of refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle and recover.
- Energy Optimisation: We are committed to saving energy and water as much as possible by promoting efficient and reduced use of these resources. Reducing consumption of these resources is good for the environment in terms of reducing the emission of greenhouse gases
- Sustainable Sourcing: We prioritise sourcing materials and services from environmentally responsible suppliers. We are also committed to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions and waste associated with provision of client materials by decreasing the amount of printed client materials and providing more environmentally friendly alternatives, where practicable.
Continuous Improvement
In March 2021, Porterhouse was proud to obtain ISO14001 certification, but we realise that sustainability is an ongoing journey. We regularly review and update our practices to ensure we are at the forefront of environmental stewardship. Our Environmental team is dedicated to finding innovative solutions and continuously improving our environmental performance.
