Welcoming Porterhouse Medical’s latest PhD placement intern

Porterhouse Medical is delighted to welcome our latest PhD placement student, Joshua Yates. Joshua will be completing a 12-week professional internship in our global scientific services team based in our Nottingham office.

Photo of Josua Yates in lab at Nottingham UniversityJoshua has a BSc in Microbiology and is now in the final year of his PhD in Microbiology at the University of Nottingham, where he is conducting a research project in the ‘Isolation and characterisation of bacteriophages for the control of drug-resistant Salmonella Infantis in poultry.’

The focus of Joshua’s placement will be on Medical Writing but will also allow him to broaden his experience and develop scientific expertise and skills in new areas. He will also gain insights into the processes and operations of our award-winning medical communications agency, learning best practice for sharing the latest advances in healthcare through compelling and compliant communications.
