Porterhouse Medical is thrilled to introduce one of the latest members our global scientific services team: Megan Stoker, who has joined us as an Associate Medical Writer.

Megan has an impressive academic background, holding a BSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Bath and a DPhil in Women’s and Reproductive Health from the University of Oxford, where she worked on a novel drug targeting mitochondria for cancer treatment and developing methods for determination of tumour metabolism in patients.

During her studies, Megan also gained valuable experience working as a Research Assistant, where she helped develop a diagnostic test for ME/CFS. However, it was through working as a Freelance Medical Writer, that she gained a love of writing, and was excited to transition from academia into medical writing.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys playing or coaching sports. She has competed at national and international level in rowing, including races such as Henley and the Oxford vs Cambridge Boat Races. She now enjoys the challenge of competitive volleyball.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Megan. With a strong foundation in biomedical science and specialised knowledge in women’s health, we are confident that Megan’s expertise and competitive nature will be instrumental in driving impactful healthcare programmes for our clients.

At Porterhouse, all members of our teams have a solid scientific or commercial background, allowing them to quickly get to grips with new products, understand and develop key communication objectives, and interpret complex data with accuracy and precision.
