Porterhouse Medical writers sharpen their skills at off-site training day

Porterhouse’s Scientific Services Team had a fruitful and productive off-site training day in early January, helping its members prepare to face the challenges of the New Year with fresh confidence in their talents and skills.

The meeting was a mix of presentations and workshops, with the former focusing on topics such as on client needs, data visualisation, and storytelling, while the choice of workshops included senior review, the publication process and pitching for new business.

The day was also a great opportunity for colleagues to reinvigorate old friendships and make new ones with colleagues near and far. Joining staff from the key UK hubs of Reading and Nottingham were colleagues from the US, Canada and Spain as well as UK homeworkers from Scotland, Bath and the Northwest.

Andrea Carrodus, Scientific Services Director said, “It was a really valuable day. As well as some fantastic presentations and workshops it was lovely to see colleagues from across the pond – until this meeting most of us had only ever met them virtually.”

Brian Parsons, Co-founder of Porterhouse Medical added, “It was great to be able to welcome the new CEO of our parent group SCIRIS, Isaac Batley, who dropped by to introduce himself and get to know the team in person.”
