Porterhouse Medical wins the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade

The Porterhouse Medical team celebrate in Forbury Gardens, Reading

We are delighted and proud to announce that Porterhouse Medical has been recognized with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2016 – the UK’s highest accolade for outstanding achievement in business.

This prestigious award was bestowed in the category of International Trade, and was made in recognition of the rapid overseas sales growth achieved over the last few years, from £500k in 2013, to in excess of £2 million in 2015

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is awarded by the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister, and is publicly announced on Her Majesty’s 90th birthday. As founders and managing directors, Jon Hallows and Brian Parsons will be invited to attend a special reception at Buckingham Palace, hosted by the Queen, where they will celebrate their success and get the chance to discuss overseas trade issues with royalty and ministers.

Jon commented, “Everyone at Porterhouse Medical is very proud of what we have accomplished. Since the company was established in 2002, we really have gone from strength to strength. We’ve grown from just a couple of people to a team of over 40, and our overall turnover (overseas and domestic) hit £3.6 million in 2015.”

Brian said, “It’s thrilling that all the hard work put in by our staff over the past few years has been recognized in this way. We always strive to provide our clients with service levels that go beyond normal expectations. This is why they keep coming back to us and it’s also why the growth in overseas trade has been so spectacular.

“Everyone is now looking forward to what’s in store for the future … but first it’s time to celebrate with a well-earned glass of champagne!”
