Porterhouse Medical Group is delighted to welcome our latest PhD placement student to our Nottingham office. Owen Dawson will be completing a 12-week professional internship in our global scientific services team.
Owen has a BSc in Biology from the University of Nottingham and is now a third year PhD student, where he is conducting a research project in the treatment of inflammatory diseases, specifically ‘exploring the post-transcriptional impact of Tenascin-C on inflammatory microRNA’.
Owen’s placement with Porterhouse will allow him to broaden his experience and develop scientific expertise and skills in new areas. He has started at a busy time and has already been supporting our ophthalmology team as they prepare for a large medical meeting. He will also gain insights into the processes and operations of our award-winning agency, learning best practice for sharing innovations in healthcare through compelling and compliant communications.
Welcome to the Porterhouse family, Owen. We hope that you enjoy your placement with us and have an opportunity to assess the potential career paths within the healthcare communications industry today.
At Porterhouse Medical Group, our people make the difference.
