Porterhouse celebrates World Nature Conservation Day 2025 — Restoration, Resilience & Responsibility

At Porterhouse, we believe that a healthy planet is the foundation of healthy communities. To mark World Nature Conservation Day, we were proud to reaffirm our commitment—both as a leader in global healthcare communications and as an ISO 14001–certified organisation—to building a sustainable future.

This year’s theme—“Restoration, Resilience & Responsibility”—resonates deeply with our mission. It calls us to:

  • Restore ecosystems through initiatives like tree planting and sustainable resource management.
  • Build resilience in both nature and society by supporting green infrastructure and climate-smart practices.
  • Embrace our shared responsibility—from individuals to corporations—to act ethically, reduce waste, and support environmental justice.

How We’re Acting on Our Promise

Aligned with the spirit of the day and our ISO 14001 certification in environmental management systems, we are confirming our commitment to:

  • Reduce single-use plastics across all company offices and events
  • Invest in renewable energy to reduce consumption of natural resources
  • Partner with ‘greener’ suppliers for eco-conscious printing, print alternatives, and digital-first content
  • Minimise travel emissions by reducing the need to travel with remote communication tools and choosing more environmentally friendly options, where practicable.
  • Improve environmental conscientiousness within the office and for those employees working remotely by implementing measures that increase the ease of and promote being more environmentally friendly.
  • External communication of our environmental goals and commitments, not just within the business but beyond.
  • Supporting community-led conservation projects and volunteering activities

Why Nature Conservation Matters in Healthcare Communications

Healthy ecosystems underpin clean air, water, and food—all crucial to public health. By weaving environmental stewardship into our operations, we support well-being across the communities we serve.
