Porterhouse Medical Group is delighted to announce that Emma Conran has been promoted to the role of Principal Medical Writer.

Since joining our scientific services team in 2014 as a Medical Writer, Emma’s career has gone from strength to strength. She embraces our core values at Porterhouse with her entrepreneurial spirit, which was reflected in her winning our Entrepreneur Awards Programme in 2016. She has also been an inspiration to other members of staff by taking an active role in various non-project activities that support our scientific services team; these include providing in-house training, delivering topical in-house presentations (‘Porterhouse Presents’) and assisting with  our Porterhouse Pathfinders internship programme.

Throughout her career at Porterhouse, Emma has been the lead writer on many key projects, and last year she passed the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals™ (ISMPP™) certification exam. This means she holds the Certified Medical Publication Professional™ (CMPP™) credential – a qualification that recognises her skills and dedication within the publication planning and medical writing spheres – for three years.

Brian Parsons, Co-founder and Joint Managing Director at Porterhouse, said, “Emma has had a terrific past 12 months, developing her specialist knowledge of publications and target journals, as well as guiding several others in manuscript development. In addition, her relationship with a key client was instrumental in our agency winning a new project with a leading pharmaceutical client. She is a highly valued member of the Porterhouse family. Well done, Emma!”
