Porterhouse Insights is the global research, insight and evidence consultancy of Porterhouse Medical Group, and was established in 2017 to generate actionable insights to meet evolving client needs.

The team works with healthcare and pharmaceutical clients across R&D, commercial and medical to answer ad hoc research questions with primary and secondary market research studies. The team also works closely with Porterhouse Medical colleagues to embed valuable insights and metrics into powerful communications programmes that make a difference to people’s lives.

The consultancy has grown rapidly over the past few years, and we are now looking for an experienced individual to join the Porterhouse Insights team at Associate Director level.

Associate Director

Responsibilities:
• Leadership:
o Lead account teams with ultimate accountability for Market Research target and
overall profitability
o Contribute fully to SMT, influencing and implementing divisional strategic direction in
line with company strategy
o Continually evaluate and develop sector strategies

• Client focus:
o Develop and maintain professional, proactive relationships with new, existing, and
lapsed clients to form long term alliances
o Support Account Directors and Research Managers with client interactions
o Write and renew the design of projects (proposals, questionnaires, approaches to
analysis and presentations) to ensure they satisfy and exceed client expectations

• Performance and talent management:
o Act as mentor to Account Directors and Research Managers
o Conduct regular management reviews with line reports, reviewing performance,
setting objectives, and identifying learning needs
o Facilitate the professional development and learning of all those with whom you work

Knowledge and skills desired:
• Ideally 7 years of experience within the pharma insights industry
• Proven track record of developing new business
• Expertise in leading complex, large scale projects
• Expert knowledge in key methodologies and approaches (published, conference speaking,
industry training)
• Business acumen with a sound grasp of divisional financial performance and cost drivers
• Understanding of business management issues
• Strategic leadership skills
• Expert research skills
• Line management experience
• Strong negotiation skills e.g., contracts and discount
